https://soundcloud.com/bbbpodcast/episode-37-willie-nillie-1

The bastards have reunited in this episode, and of course Max is unprepared. The dudes talk about how their 2014’s have been, and Dusty regales us briefly with how TN was for his drinking. The bastards also breeze through some headlines, and air out their feelings on Bieber’s arrest. They close it down with some football and lots of yelling. All this and more on a completely hosted episode of BBB.

Episode 35 – Harvin’ a Good Time

https://soundcloud.com/bbbpodcast/episode-35-harvin-a-good-time

The bastards are somewhat back in this episode, and they’ve brought a guest with them. None other than friend of the show Tyler Harvin’ a Good Time. The dudes talk about Dusty’s busted arm, and his impending bundle of joy. Tyler becomes Nate, and Max finds some new sound effects. All this and more on another bwaaa-tastic episode of BBB!

Episode 31.333 – The Worst Episode In The World

https://soundcloud.com/bbbpodcast/episode-31-333-the-worst

This is arguably the worst episode ever recorded. Everyone is mad. The soundboard is abused. The bastards ruin a dinner, and Arnold makes a visit. Gear up!

Episode 24 – IMPlosion

https://soundcloud.com/bbbpodcast/episode-24-implosion-1

This week, Dusty and Nate have traded absences! Nate and Max head this episode as only brothers can, loudly. Max has a mishap with some beer and Nate has to chug a lot. The dudes also talk about how weird Dragonball Z Kai is, and also discuss favorite cartoons. They also touch on strange drunken purchases and what Nate does with $40 in his pocket. As always we talk football, and Nate gives a long commercial for himself at the end. All this and more on episode 24 of BBB.

Episode 23 – Sad Tromboner

https://soundcloud.com/bbbpodcast/episode-23-sad-tromboner

Nate’s back, and boy is he angry! Maybe no angry, but drunk. This week the dudes talk about crazy drunk dreams and what Nyquil does to your brain. They also start some pre-qual for some of the Fall beers, and enjoy the hell out of them. Max has added a new set of sound effects this week, and maybe has a little too much fun with them. The guys give their football predictions and talk special new and upcoming treats. All this and more on this week’s episode of BBB.

Episode 20 – Sweet Nut Nectar

https://soundcloud.com/bbbpodcast/episode-20-sweet-nut-nectar

Nut nectar? It’s not what you think. This week the bastards talk football, because why not? Max also discusses his love for old man voice, and Nate talks hatred for the Six Flags old man. There is also a lengthy discussion about roller coasters, and the struggles of the obese. The dudes also read your best blackout stories, and we give our predictions for Week 1 of the NFL. All this and more on big episode TWO-OH of BBB!

Unique First Blog Title

So last night, I got to talk to the fat fuck himself Kev Smith. I told him he is the inspiration for our reasons to podcast, which is the Gods honest truth (and I left out an apostrophe cause I mean gods like Loki or Ganesha too.) Kev got me through some long shifts of shittiess and I know he still does for one of us bastards. His words are sincere and let’s face it, the guy is fucking hilarious, but let me stop kneeling on the floor and wolfing Kev Smith hog.

Podcasting, for me at least, has taken on a life of it’s own. I have been in a few bands (still am too check us out ) and I’ve worked in other creative junctures that have taken up a lot of my time and not gone so well coughDJINGcough, but podcasting has seen me enjoy practice in several different arenas. It has helped me:

  1. Be a Better Planner – Fuck, there’s a lot that goes into our chaos, and honestly making lists and writing down what you want to say makes things seem a lot more professional. Not to mention synching up 3+ peoples schedules at one time. Makes like easier to know what the fuck is going on.
  2. Hone Recording Skills – I have not only gotten some basic knowledge in my recording software, I now have basic mixing skills under my belt as well, because I vowed that if I did a podcast, I’d want it to sound good.
  3. Learn How to Network – Seems simple enough, but marketing yourself and getting other people excited for your bullshit is kind of tough to do. This thing is probably the most ongoing work.
  4. Learn How to Make a Fucking Mistake – Holy shit, this is probably my biggest one in this podcasting gig. I can’t count how many times things have gone wrong behind the scenes of BBB, but the most important thing is owning up to it, which is what I have done thoroughly. Manning up and owning your mistakes makes you less of a scumbag that way.

I like to keep busy. I’m always thinking, always moving, I’m like a shark but with a less prehistoric brain. If I stop moving, I’ll die, and for me the podcast is a great indefinite. With the band, the dream is to get signed, with education you get a job, but podcasting just keeps going, and the beauty is that if you do it right, and you care about it, that shit can go on forever and still be fresh as the first time you laid your voice down. I think that’s the thing that really amps me up. This show has changed even from the first show we ever did, and I’m sure it will continue to undergo metamorphosis like the drunken alien baby it is. The thrust of my blog is this: if you need something to keep you going, to get shit out there, make a podcast, and I would add don’t just “make a podcast”, make it good. You know what good is to you. Think “would I listen to this if I was not me?”. Make it serious, make it funny, but regardless of what it is, make it true to you and make it honest. Humans can tell when other humans are being genuine, and for me, and I’m sure for all of us here at BBB brewquarters we try to be as real as we can.

Thanks for listening (and reading) you guys. Seriously, it means a ton that people I don’t even know, know me like we are buddies. It’s cool.

Keep on brewin! (I’ll get a good ending catchphrase).

Episode 18 – Spyda Cydah

https://soundcloud.com/bbbpodcast/episode-18-spyda-cydah

On this exciting episode of BBB, we drank a lot of coffee! We talk some politics, courtesy of socially inept and learn about how the bastards are legit, and would abstain from Podjuice. We also get into movies, and Max makes the unpopular decision to not love Tom Hardy. Bickering ensues. Finally, we talk Autumn beers, and decide to make a cider. All this and more on episode 18 of BBB.
